How can I get my teenager connected to the student ministry?
We want to answer that question. We understand that students grow best in the context of authentic relationships in the church. Here are a few things you can do to help get connected:
1. Sunday Morning Bible Fellowship

Sunday mornings are the #1 way to get connected at Highview. Plug into a small group where you can experience real community. Don’t be a loner – link up with a small group every Sunday morning! We meet every Sunday morning at the student building we call “The Greenhouse.” We want to see you grow in your faith!
We have 2 Bible Fellowship hours:
9:00am
The 9:00am hour is a smaller environment than the 11:25am hour. We meet in room 100 of the Greenhouse which is the room in the Greenhouse that is closest to the large church building. We have opening announcements, prayer time for students’ needs, a Bible lesson with the large group, and then we break into small groups to discuss the lesson. There are three small groups that meet at the 9:00am hour: middle school, high school girls, and high school guys.
11:25am

6th grade - coed large group teaching time with gender specific small groups
7th & 8th grade girls - gender specific teaching time and grade specific small groups
7th & 8th grade guys - gender specific teaching time and grade specific small groups
High school students meet in a large group for videos, announcements, and a message with Bro. Dustin. The lesson for the high school hour is simply a reinforcement of the sermon they just heard in the large worship service. Specific application is drawn out for high school students. Students then spend time in small groups organized by grade and gender.
2. Wednesday Nights

On Wednesday nights in the fall and spring, students pack into the Greenhouse for a high energy night of food, games, live music, and challenging messages. Students are presented God's Word by an experienced adult Bible teacher while having fun and beating the myth that church has to be a "boring" place! Wednesday night runs from 6:30-8pm
3. Events

Another great way for students to get connected with Highview is through our events and programs. We offer a variety of opportunities including camps, retreats, and mission trips for students to connect with one another and with adult leaders.
